We have been to a fair number of gay pri events over the past two years – four last year and five this year which we later learned was unimprsive pared to the ten pl pri events another Amerin expat livg Germany had attend this year – but we have never seen a cy so cked out rabows before. You really would have thought Rabow Bre and her gayer-than-unirns-sikick-horse, Starle, had been hired to rate the cy.

Whether the people who display a rabow flag are gay or not themselv, they are statg that they are not only “okay” wh the gay muny, but really sayg “We want them our tablishments, our cy, and our hom. ” So to see a cy that so blatantly proclaims this every nook and cranny of the streets means a lot to and to every gay traveler that viss.

Now I n’t say how Antwerp is for the gay muny on any given day of the year bee we were there for two very specific and very gay events, the 2013 World Out Gam (WOGA) and Antwerp Gay Pri. So of urse the cy was as gay iendly that weekend as was ever likely to get this year, but I thk giv some great sight to what you uld expect to be year round.

For those who aren’t rmed of this event (and to be hont we weren’t eher until now), the Outgam is geared toward LGBT athlet and overseen by GLISA, Gay and Lbian Sports Associatn, focg on sports, culture, and human rights. That same night was also the official WOGA party “Let’s Get Physil” but unfortunately we skipped simply bee we were near Red and Blue, an extensive, thrivg gay club wh ocsnal live performanc.

Saturday was the ma event wh Antwerp’s Gay Pri Para startg around two the afternoon. The whole weekend was wrapped up perfectly wh a performance by Loreen at the fal WOGA party appropriately tled “Super Gays” Saturday night. But she fely ma worth our while and was the perfect fale to a very gay weekend Antwerp.

By the end of the weekend we realized that although Antwerp is a morately known cy often bypassed for Bssels a morately vised untry that’s often overlooked by s more prodig neighbors, s abily to appeal to the gay muny as a travel statn is imprsive and somethg we won’t soon fet.
