You n listen to the full nversatn g the d player above.</em></p><h3 id="h3_how_did_the_ia_for_a_pri_ftival_here__mnota_ially_e_about%3F">How did the ia for a Pri ftival here Mnota ially e about?</h3><p><strong>Tretter:</strong> We were jealo of Chigo bee we had recently elected Jack Baker as the print of the stunt body at the Universy of Mnota. We were the first place the Uned Stat to elect an openly gay person as the print of the stunt body. And when Chigo had their first Pri celebratn, they elected Jack Baker om Mnota to be their grand marshal and brought him to Chigo. Steve Enan, Kerry Woodward and I got together and we said, we n't have Mnotans gog to Chigo to be grand marshals and not even have a Pri ftival Mnota. So we cid that we were gog to form a Pri celebratn Mnota.</p><h3 id="h3_tell__about_that_first_march__1972._what_was_the_pri_celebratn_like%3F">Tell about that first march 1972. What was the Pri celebratn like?</h3><p><strong>Tretter:</strong> Well, there were about 50 people that we got to attend. We were absolutely posive we were gog to be arrted. So we spl to two groups and we left 25 of them Lorg Park wh enough money to bail each one of that was marchg. So 25 of marched down Nillet Mall, all the way to 4th Street and then me back to Lorg Park, where we met our iends and had a piic. It all went smoothly and peacefully bee everybody at that time had no ia what we were talkg about. You know, was, “Oh, they're gay and proud. Well, that's nice. They're happy to be happy.” They didn't realize.
