It was then that Gay’s subject matter turned to the landspe outsi the cy, and he beme known for his tailed waterlors of the New England astle, om Long Island to Gloucter and Rockport, Massachetts. Gay was a member of the Boston Art Club, and exhibed his works at the Boston Art Club, the Natnal Amy of Dign and the Art Instute of Chigo.
