Even though I was mightily fightg to be okay wh my existence as a gay Armenian-Iranian immigrant, I didn’t fd the ncept of Pri, as seen on TV and Wt Hollywood, even remotely relatable. However, as a gay Armenian-Iranian immigrant, celebratg myself gets a b plited. And I obliged, until I uldn’t—not bee I didn’t want to, but bee I started intifyg as gay.

Most importantly, Pri is acceptg and cherishg my heart and soul, that I have a place the world as the gay, the Armenian, the Iranian, the immigrant and everythg else, all together. Through muny, empathy, kdns and aid, we regnize and slowly heal om the trma and pa of cultural rejectn, and we speak up agast homophobia and transphobia when we n.
