East Carola Athletics Hall of Fame member Pl Gay passed away Wednday at the age of 90. Gay stayed volved both tn and athletics after partg the Greenville mp, achg and teachg numero sports and subjects at the high school level. As a football ach, Gay led his team to eight nference champnships, four -state tl and one state champnship.
Gay Stadium. Gay was a member of the Board of Directors of the North Carola Coach Associatn and was the first North Carolian to be chosen as print of the Natnal Feratn Interscholastic Coach Associatn.
Gay was also ducted to the North Carola High School Athletic Associatn Hall of Fame 1996 and the North Carola Sports Hall of Fame 1998. Pl Beasley Gay.
