GAYS VS. STRAIGHTS: ANY DIFFERENC SEXUAL SATISFACTN?

Younger lbian, gay and bisexual adults are more likely than their olr unterparts to have tried onle datg. Among lbian, gay and bisexual adults, 54% of those ag 18 to 49 have ever ed a datg se or app.

However, lbian, gay and bisexual adults the age groups unr 65 are all equally as likely to say they are currently g a datg se or app. Among lbian, gay and bisexual adults, men are more likely than women to have ever ed an onle datg platform (57% vs. When to fdg a mted relatnship, 24% of lbian, gay and bisexual adults who are partnered – that is, married, livg wh a partner or a mted romantic relatnship – say they met their signifint other through onle datg.

IS YOUR MAN GAY, STRAIGHT, OR BISEXUAL?

Lbian, gay and bisexual men and women who date onle also e specific apps and s at different rat.

Lbian, gay and bisexual women ers are more likely than their male unterparts to have ever ed HER, a datg app for queer women and genr-diverse people. However, Tr is the most mon app among lbian, gay and bisexual women ers – six--ten say they’ve ed .

While Tr is also popular among lbian, gay and bisexual men, they are most likely to have ed Grdr, a datg app for gay, bisexual, transgenr and queer people. About six--ten lbian, gay and bisexual men who have dated onle (62%) say they have ed Grdr. About equal shar of lbian, gay and bisexual men and women who have ed an onle datg platform have tried OkCupid, Match, Hge or eharmony.

THE STEREOTYP ABOUT GAYS AND STRAIGHTS ARE TE

In terms of personal experienc on onle datg platforms, lbian, gay and bisexual adults have mixed reviews. But most lbian, gay and bisexual adults who have ed the platforms the past year report feelg exced (85%) and report feelg disappoted (84%) about the people they enunter there. Some lbian, gay and bisexual onle datg ers also enunter negative behavrs.

Among lbian, gay and bisexual ers, the shar who say they have experienced each of the are not statistilly different between men and women. Half of lbian, gay and bisexual onle datg ers also say they’ve enuntered someone they thk was tryg to sm them on the platforms, though this experience is signifintly more mon among lbian, gay and bisexual men than women (60% vs. Lbian, gay and bisexual adults also have mixed feelgs about onle datg general, outsi of their own personal experience.

GAY COUPL CAN TEACH STRAIGHT PEOPLE A THG OR TWO ABOUT ARGUG

Still, when asked what type of effect the s have had on datg and relatnships, roughly equal shar of lbian, gay and bisexual adults say they have had a mostly posive (20%) or mostly negative (19%) effect.
