In 1973 the Gay Liberatn Front voted to spl to two anizatns: a UR stunt group (known as the Pri Network sce 2002) and a muny group lled The Gay Alliance of the Genee Valley. The Gay Alliance remas active today as the regn's premier GLBTQ anizatn.
The Gay Alliance is also rponsible for Rochter's annual Pri Week, kicked off by the unfurlg of an enormo rabow flag (some three stori long) the Cy Hall atrium. Another historil note is the 1986 electn of Tim Mas to the Rochter Cy Council, makg him New York State’s first openly-gay elected official.
