Hidn Kiss is a poignant drama film directed by Didier Bivel that foc on the them of homophobia, love, discrimatn, and fay. The movie revolv around the liv of two young boys, Nathan and Louis, whose feelgs for each other make them vulnerable to the harsh reali of a homophobic society. Her attempts to unrstand and support Nathan often e across as awkward and clumsy, but she tri her bt to be there for the other hand, Louis's father, Lrent, is a homophobic man who is ashamed of his son's sexual orientatn.
Throughout the film, we see the characters grapplg wh their thoughts, emotns, and the societal prsur that e wh beg gay. It highlights the challeng that LGBTQ people face even today's world and the impact that homophobia n have on dividuals and actg the film is excellent, wh the lead actors, Patrick Tims, Barbara Schulz, and Bno Putzulu, liverg stellar performanc that brg pth and thenticy to the characters. A nice touch is that we get to see how the teachers the school react to the bullyg and homophobia om the stunts towards Nathan.
One teacher tri to te his class about choosg their words refully and thkg before they speak, and he’s hled to the prcipal’s office to be warned about promotg homosexualy. It pats a realistic portrayal of what some gay teens go through and the bullyg they are subjected to. I’m not sayg homophobia isn’t extreme still certa areas, but this movie is set a sizable French suburb, and France legalized marriage equaly 2013, the fact that none of the stunts this pretty large school have seemgly never met another LGBTQ+ person until now is a ltle hard to Breakg Glass PicturIt is not only his fellow stunts who take issue wh his sexualy, but Nathan’s own father, police pta Stéphane (Patrick Tims), fds himself havg a hard time acceptg his son’s sexualy.
