I feel as though the typil gay man voice is annoyg. It’s nothg personal, but I have known a uple guys who talked normal who me out as gay and then started to adopt this voice as if was “part of the culture” or societal ndng.

I personally know a handful of gay men who do not have the “gay man voice” lisp thg (and they aren’t tryg to subdue ) so ’s obvly not geilly related to beg gay. It’s almost a way to broadst that you are gay, which is fe but om my perspective annoyg sce there’s no reason to talk like that. CMV: Many straight men would sound like the stereotypil "gay voice" if they didn't force their voice the be eper.
Now pretty much everyone says I have a "gay voice" which I agree, I do thk I sound "gay" bee stereotypilly the pch of my voice sounds like the other gay people (<average).
However I do feel like some straight men purposely make their voice eper jt to NOT sound "gay" even though naturally their pch wouldn't be as low.
