at the parks’ annual (and unofficial) Gay Days event. And last time I was at Disneyland, I saw an credible woman wearg a Brie-Larson-as-Capta-Marvel T-shirt, a ctom Brie-Larson-as-Capta-Marvel jean jacket, and a bag vered Brie-Larson-as-Capta-Marvel ps and patch. To fd out he’s gay is like: y!” Abenheim explas, referrg to the legendary engeer who worked on many of the park’s attractns, cludg the monorail, Autopia, and the Hnted Mansn. “Whout queer people, we wouldn’t have <em>Bety and the Beast</em>, we wouldn’t have <em>The Ln Kg</em>, we wouldn’t have the monorail or [the] Hnted Mansn,” adds Abenheim. He tells me that both Disneyland and the theme park dtry at large attract a lot of queer employe. “You look at the general nature of a theme park like Disneyland,” he says. “Those are happy days. Like God, or our parents, or <a href=">Prce</a>.</p><p>Not everyone is as cynil about Disney’s embrace of the LGBTQ+ muny as I am, though.</p><p>A uple weeks before I spoke wh him, Gurr was a part of Disney’s group the Los Angel Pri Para, ridg on one of the vehicl he signed for Disneyland. But he feels that his workers wouldn’t have been pecially terted, anyway. “We were so by at Disney that even the people I found out later who were gay, nobody ever quired, nobody was terted,” he says. “Walt had a super sense of creative talent and then overlooked the other crazy sis of [people]. A lot of them were womanizers… a lot of people had some sexual fetish and thgs they do. He was not terted even if he knew what they were dog. That was not an issue. What was an issue was the creative ias they were dog.
