In 2015, Tom Kfhold started the NH Seaast LGBT History Project to “rearch, document, and prerve the history of gay, lbian, bisexual, and transgenr people on the Seaast of New Hampshire wh emphasis on Portsmouth” (NH Seaast LGBT History Project, 2021). Above all, the exhib honored the fiftieth anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Rts, which took place after an unjt police raid of a popular gay bar New York Cy.
