Well, at the time Mount Gilboa plantatn was managed by Sir John Gay Alleyne; a proment Barbadian polician. After his passg, regnn of his mendable work the tate was partially renamed his honour; As such, was at that time that The Mount Gilboa Plantatn changed to The Mount Gay Plantatn - rived om the e of his middle name; as another plantatn already existed at the time unr the name “Mount Alleyne”. Havg passed through var owners between the 1600s to the 1800s, the entire Mount Gay plantatn was purchased at a later date the early 20th century by Mr Aubrey Ward Frank.
