“There is no one, unified gay history; what all gay people have shared across time is the stggle for the right to be themselv and the mm has been documentg the stori for s, ” said the mm’s curator, Kathere Ott. “Today, gay Amerins have achieved so much, yet many people are unaware of how happened. Her slishow The Ballad of Sexual Depenncy (first publicly shown at the Whney Biennial 1985) picts her iends, fay, and lovers—cis- and transgenr men and women; straight upl, homosexual upl, sgle subjects—wh unflchg equaly all around.
