Props to Ang Lee for creatg a unique opportuny to look to two very distct and different cultur at the same time: Asian Amerin and gays the early 90s. The protagonist, Wai Tung, acts as the sence of the stggle between the expectatns of nservative tradn and the self-honty that his homosexualy and bi-cultural thkg mand. The movie ends wh an unrstandg, where Wai Tung's father undo the assumptn of his ignorance to Wai Tung's homosexualy, and Wei Wei keeps the baby wh Simon and Wai Tung as fathers.
