When I go to NYC's gay pri para, I variably see a number of marchg bands, each wh a number of tuba (soaphone, to be more precise, although some marchg tuba) players -- easily 20-40+ tubists march and play that para every year. And, while I spect there are no sexualy checks to play wh those bands, I'm gusg most of those tubists would ID as gay or bi.

I also played wh the NYC Lbian & Gay Big Apple Corps Wd Ensemble 2009-11, which we typilly had 3-4 LGB tubists, rangg om stunts to New England Conservatory of Mic alumni who've joed the faculty of a lol llege. After I'd been away om tuba playg om the mid 80s to 2009, I felt a b like Rip Van Tuba, astound by all the chang the world -- cludg enunterg out, gay tuba players.
