The group was first named South Asian Gay Associatn (SAGA) and was changed to Khh as they extend their membership to clu both men and women. In 1989, Khh found ‘Khh Khayal’, the first South Asian gay newsletter Canada that was distributed natnally and ternatnally. Toronto’, a programme that celebrated diasporic South Asian gay and lbian cultur and inti 1989, ‘Dh Parsh’, an annual ftival that highlighted the art, culture, and polics of diasporic South Asians the Wt which first began 1990, and ‘Disvery ‘93’, the first Internatnal South Asian Gay Men’s Conference.
