In addn to the gay Spir-Man variant named Van Dyne aka Web Weaver, there will also be a Kraven the Hunter variant named “Hunter-Spir, ” a Tyrannoss Rex variant, and many other crazy terpretatns. For Spir-Man, Marvel termed that he mt be male and “not a homosexual, ” wh the tertg addn that the latter would be validated if “Marvel has portrayed that character as a homosexual. Even the rtrictn that’s gaed the most attentn — “not a homosexual” — has the get-out clse that ’s okay if Marvel has done the ics first.
A gay Spir-Man isn’t a problem, as long as Marvel gets to do the ics (and, as a rult, reaps the publicy rewards attached) first.
