Sce 1970, gay pri marchers have flood the streets of New York Cy every June to monstrate their pri and advote for ntued progrs for the margalized group’s rights.

The goal of the Communy Edutn and Trag Program at The Long Island Gay, Lbian, Bisexual, and Transgenr (GLBT) Servic Network (The Network) is to create safer, more supportive GLBT-affirmg spac for GLBT people. Through three of The Network’s anizatns, Long Island Gay and Lbian Youth (LIGALY), The Long Island GLBT Communy Center (The Center), and Servic and Advocy for GLBT Elrs – Long Island (SAGE-LI), The Network has been creatg and facilatg GLBT sensivy workshops and trags for the greater Long Island muny for more than 20 years.
Long Island Gay and Lbian Youth works to build muny, provi a home and safe space for all, end anti-LGBT bullyg, and prevent suici. Q Center particularly works to help those most unrserved through addrsg heterosexism, homophobia, and transphobia. The origal anizatn of the LGBT Network is Long Island Gay and Lbian Youth, Inc.
