Found 1992 by a group of athlet preparg for Gay Gam '94, Squid started out as Denver’s only LGBT and Alli Masters swim team (S-wimmg Q-ueers U-ned I-n D-enver). He met his hband of 20 years, Jim, through volleyball 2002 after jog the Colorado Gay Volleyball Associatn (CGVA) where he was soon reced to jo their board of directors. Tony’s ial sports management experience wh the CGVA board, paired wh his background ftival and event productn, eventually led him to jo the Feratn of Gay Gam (FGG) Board of Directors 2014 where his work led him to be named “Honorary Life Member of the FGG”, the anizatn’s hight honor. The Kolorado Knk have been part of major sports events all over the world, om the year-round CGVA lol leagu and tournaments to the annual, S Cy Classic, North Amerin Gay Volleyball Associatn Natnal Champnships, 2014 and 2018 Gay Gam – and onto 2023 Gay Gam Guadalajara, Mexi – and beyond.

The missn of the Feratn of Gay Gam is about promotg equaly through sport and culture, which is sentially the foundatn of our volleyball team. The fact that this is and will always be, a gay volleyball team and member of a LGBTQ+ sports anizatn. As the Feratn of Gay Gam has stated, until LGBTQ+ people have tly equal rights around the world, there will be the need for LGBTQ+ sports.
