Naquele ano, antec no R Janeiro a 17° nferência do ILGA (Associação Internacnal Lésbis, Gays, Bissexuais, Trans e Intersex) que termou uma pequena marcha na praia Copabana. O movimento ada era nhecido o GLS (Gays, Lésbis e Simpatizant) 1997 antec a primeira Parada LGBT na cida São Plo, que ntou cer duas psoas, quase um grão areia perto dos hõ que parecem nas paradas mais recent. Em 97, teve o Enntro Nacnal Gays, Lésbis e Travtis, chamado EBGLT, que foi em São Plo, no mês fevereiro, e ele termou em uma passeata.
