after sayg on Monday that Hale was transgenr, Nashville Police Chief John Drake <a href=">told</a> NBC’s Lter Holt that police “feel that” Hale “intifi as trans, but we’re still the ial vtigatn to all of that and if actually played a role to this cint.” </p><p class="">Drake did not say why police believe Hale was transgenr. As of Thursday afternoon, six people who knew Hale told NBC News that Hale did not directly e out to them as trans or talk about genr inty.
