The VGVA has been promotg a gay-posive and clive play environment for over 30 years; is one of the Lower Maland’s longt-operatg volunteer-n sports groups. In Febary 1982, Fraser Biggs, a member of Vanuver’s gay softball team, phoned fellow sports enthiast, Richard Dopson, to tell him about a “gay olympics” g to San Francis.
They reached out to existg gay bowlg and billiards teams, the women’s soccer team, and dividuals track and swimmg.
