Litenant General Gaye prevly served as Force Commanr of MONUC om March 2005 through to October 2008.

Litenant General Gaye led an extensive and distguished ary reer, havg served, among others, as the Chief of Staff of the Senegale armed forc om May 2000 to Augt 2003, and Chief of Milary Regn om November 1997 to May 2000.
