Mayor Maynard Jackson clared the day of the para, June 26, to be Gay Pri Day Atlanta.
The followg year, Mayor Jackson issued a subsequent proclamatn for Civil Liberti Day after facg backlash for his emphasis of Gay Pri 1976.
