VICTOR SASSIE, Rtratr 1915-1999 <strong>Victor</strong> <strong>Sassie</strong> was the proprietor of the <strong>Gay</strong> <strong>Hsar</strong> rtrant for 34 years; He is a one-off character and not surprisgly nsirg his origs.
<strong>Victor</strong> managed to open a send Budapt Frh Street, Soho and then 1953, the <strong>Gay</strong> <strong>Hsar</strong>. The rtrant was named (at a time when the word ”gay” had no sexual nnotatns) honour of the ele of the Hungarian army. After his army service, he started up his own tablishment, namg the <strong>Gay</strong> <strong>Hsar</strong> acknowledgement of his old amy.
