Canal Street ns along the Rochdale Canal wh a range of bars and rtrants and although hugely signifint there are other areas the village cludg Bloom Street, Richmond Street and Sackville Garns where there is a monument to Alan Turg who was a founr of morn putg who was treated humanely for beg gay.

I have been visg the gay village sce late 1980’s and has always been a great place to vis, is pecially nice the summer months.
