Canal Street ns along the Rochdale Canal wh a range of bars and rtrants and although hugely signifint there are other areas the village cludg Bloom Street, Richmond Street and Sackville Garns where there is a monument to Alan Turg who was a founr of morn putg who was treated humanely for beg gay. I have been visg the gay village sce late 1980’s and has always been a great place to vis, is pecially nice the summer months.

On Bar is a new bar ncept brought to you by Orange Natn, the UK's biggt gay club promotn pany, and this is their first venue venture outsi of London.

Offerg a warm wele for everyone – boys or girls, gay or straight, and anyone between. A gay bsman lled Terry Kg opened Europe’s – or the world’s, pendg which article you read om the time – first ever gay shoppg centre.
