Skylar is a prize that Will both seeks and ph away, and ultimately pursu after she has, perhaps jtifiably, left him behd. </p><p data-no-id="14" class="css-aeyldl et3p2gv0">All of that amidst the air of ath that permeat the film now. Williams took his own life. Elltt Smh, whose mic is ed so effectively throughout, died himself unr myster circumstanc an apparent suici. The Boston picted the film, if ever really existed, is a distant memory as well. Many of the landmarks ed have long sce been molished, torn down and replaced. </p><p data-no-id="15" class="css-aeyldl et3p2gv0">For all of the film’s flaws that have bee more glarg over time, for all of the problematic genr polics that we might’ve ignored at the time, and the disappotg behavr of the men volved, there’s still somethg at the heart of the film that ronat today. <em>Good Will Huntg</em> has always been a film about vlence, about ath and loss and change. But as we’ve changed as a culture, the type of progrs hts at has taken on a new light. People, both specifilly, and as a whole, n improve. They n leave the patterns of abe the past.
