Theoretilly, this means that homosexuals should be accepted by Freemasonry. However, while the prcipl of Freemasonry dite that a homosexual should be able to jo the aterny, as he is equal to everyone else, this is not always the se real life. From my rearch about this subject, I me across a lot of members on foms that say they have a homosexual member their lodge BUT I’m aware that certa lodg may not be so open to “alternative liftyl” and homosexuals are not be “st out”.
Certa members’ fah may duce them to believe that acceptg a homosexual Freemasonry may be a s or immoral, and for this reason, a homosexual may be voted agast or as we say “black-balled”. Let’s keep md that Freemasonry has adult members of all ag, so olr members who may not be as acctomed to talkg and hearg about homosexualy as we are today and might possibly believe that no gay man should jo Freemasonry as this would be immoral, and they may blackball a ndidate.
So while Freemasonry self should accept any man of good character, regardls of sexual orientatn, a person’s culture or personal beliefs may lead to a homosexual not beg accepted to the aterny.
