One of the bt new films explorg gay male inty, love and relatnships, and likely will be a worthy addn to many personal "favore gay films" lists, although the fact that the film is set a town, and to some extent a culture, where, at least for a large part of the story, many the town have not yet evolved their views of LGBT people and issu, created some (ultimate unnecsary) anxiety for me early the film, and at parts throughout, as to whether the film would be a throwback to olr, more stereotyped and limed reprentatns and stori of gay life, although those anxieti were not only relieved by the end of the film, but, as I suggted, the film is an extremely valuable addn to the new wave of gay wrer, director, stg director and st, cematographer, set signer and other members of the film-makg team also do a great job explorg ral, small town life, wh s tradns (relig and otherwise... gay, sexual, relatnships, feelgs or homophobic emotnal, emotn, fay, movg or feelgs relign, church, fah, beliefs or spirual marriage, emotn, romance, relatnships or feelgs emotn, emotnal, movg, sadns or feelgs.
