But by this pot, I was so ready for her to break up wh Ben that I wasn’t ncerned about the nsequenc that she would cur if he found out. The fact that she kissed someone who actually admired her the way she served would have been the cherry on top if I wasn’t so anx. My first thought was for Fabla: Would she feel hurt or upset? If Anea broke up wh Ben for her, would she feel ed? Havg never actually dated a woman, I wonred whether was possible that I wasn’t bisexual and that I had jt veloped romantic feelgs for <em>one</em> woman. In a way, datg women was the only way to really know for sure, which is ed an experiment, but I was terrified to thk of this way. </p><p>It sred me so much that took me a while to actually agree to go on dat, and even then, I tried my bt to never let my bisexualy and my datg history e up nversatn. It took some time, and a uple of great experienc wh women, to let those fears subsi, but when I watched Anea and Fabla’s kiss, I was taken right back there emotnally. However, unlike Anea, I never bed my fear of kissg a iend wh the fear of hurtg someone else by not beg certa of my romantic feelgs. Fabla and Anea go on to have what I believe is the healthit relatnship that any of the characters have ever had on the entire show: they are both attentive, thoughtful, hont, and rpectful of each other, but alas, the end, turns out that they were jt really great iends. Their lack of chemistry don’t rult any animosy or rentment of each other, even though tak the palpable sexual tensn between Fabla and Addison (played by nonbary hearthrob <a href=" target="_blank">Terry Hu</a>) to help Anea register what she and Fabla were missg. They don’t even ny that they had ser chemistry the begng; stead they learn, and through their experience, so did I, that sexualy, romance, and attractn, are all fluid and plex. Those facets of life aren’t as lear as heteronormativy sists that they are.</p><p>Beg able to watch Fabla and Anea go om iends to lovers and back to iends aga ma me dream of seeg a story like this before I me out. I felt grateful on behalf of my younger self and happy for all the baby queers watchg this, no matter what their age. I wish I knew when I me out that the le between platonic and romantic attractn is so th that you n cross that le and still end up back on the other si of . I wish I knew that you uld have tense sexual tensn wh a girl at a party but then end up on a date wantg to jt watch <em>Degrassi</em> wh her (platonilly) all night. I wish I knew that datg and romance, no matter your sexualy, is all a grand experiment and don’t matter what you ll yourself or who you’ve been wh the past; all that matters is beg hont wh yourself
