They nduct public tn mpaigns on issu related to hate crim and public safety. Their primary foc is to ga the tst of the muny and seek out rmatn that leads to the closure of hate crime and vlent crime wh the LGBT muny. They nduct patrol functns and rpond to all cizen plats.

This led to the chief llg Sergeant Brett Parson while he was on vatn to rm him that he had been reassigned and on his return would beg leadg the MPD’s Gay and Lbian Liaison Un, later renamed the LGBT Liaison Un.
