It's not that people need to know that, but there's an awful lot of sual homophobia out there - typilly stuff that most people wouldn't even report, but which is still pretty gross and unwelg. Skyrim let the player character get married to whoever they like, but IIRC, the only homosexual NPCs were the ad uple on Solstheim. Every 2nd NPC ESO is gay, I thk Zenimax is jt tryg to expla why the populatn is so low. Only 40 NPC's per zone, and half are gay.

Y, the Elr Scrolls seri has always had openly gay characters wh no social or cultural stigma attached. Takg a wild gus there is a que obv legimate reasons for that - 'g out' is somethg that tends to be done to people that the person already knows and has pre-existg relatnships wh - whereas is pretty unlikely that you are gog to reach the age of 18 or 20 or whatever whout your fay realisg you are the same race as they are or your peer group takg a wild gus at your sk tone is que possible that someone's fay and close iends may not know that they are 'gay'. Your post strongly suggts you are bothered by the mory of s where a gay/non straight sexualy is attributed to NPCs.

As far as players go, I don't often see people g "gay" as a perjorative. If another player me out to me as gay or trans, I would behave the same as I do IRL. Anonymo onle muni tend to be more openly homophobic relative to the rt of the populatn.
