A petn was held to select the wng sign, created by two lol archecture firms, for the proposed buildg St se on Fzroy Street is set to hoe a range of LGBTI anisatns cludg the AIDS Council, the Atralian Lbian and Gay Archiv and Melbourne Queer Film is hoped the centre will assist uncil efforts to smarten up the street, followg the closure of the notor Gatwick roomg hoe across the road.

The beach is also known for beg a hub of Melbourne's LGBTQ+ muny, and is sometim referred to as the "gay beach" due to s populary wh LGBTQ+ dividuals and the many LGBTQ+ iendly bs and events that are held the area. The gay beach is also well nnected to the cy center by a work of pestrian paths and walkg trails.
