The director of 1980s teen classic Pretty Pk has fally given a five answer on whether or not the character Duckie was actually gay.

Fans of the film, wrten by John Hugh, have long sce speculated that the character – played by Jon Cryer – was gay.

Molly Rgwald, who played Andie Walsh the cult classic, has said she always saw him as gay too.

But the film’s director Howard Dtch has put the speculatn to bed, sayg he never saw Duckie as gay.

When asked if the character was gay, Dtch told Yahoo Entertament: “I don’t thk that, but I mean I n see where some people uld perceive like that. The character’s sexualy was brought to sharp foc 2012 when Rgwald told Out magaze that Duckie was gay, but didn’t know . “I thk he lov Andie the way that [my gay bt iend] always loved me, ” she said.
