Several sourc spoke of a narrative team lead om that time who appeared to suffer massive burnout durg the project, creatg an creasgly toxic work environment for others on the team, enough so that team members kept a untdown of days sce his last "explosn" on a wheboard. Many people I spoke to were faiar wh a story of him throwg a chair at a wdow bee he felt others were g his creative visn of the game.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">And yet, he stayed at the stud for several years, eventually leavg and then beg ved back to do ntract work on Dty 2. Some sourc who had enunters wh him durg this later perd said that he would equently issue narrative directn spe no longer beg a senr team member, and would bee angry when he felt the Dty 2 wrers were viatg om his origal visn for Dty 1. One source told a story of him yellg at her over the phone so aggrsively that she was brought to tears, and she subsequently refed to be on phone lls wh him whout a third party prent.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">This lead was not the only narrative team member impacted by burnout on Dty 1, and after much of that team left followg s release, Bungie assembled a new team for Dty 2 that, over time, beme staffed by women and people of lor at a rat higher than many other teams at the largely whe and male Bungie. Hired ially as a ntractor 2016, she first started at Bungie as a py edor, then later as a full-time employee on the narrative team through 2019. </p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Hiponia relled that when she first stepped , Bungie hadn't had a lot of edg oversight on the Dty anchise, and had not prevly foced very much on s story, nsistency, or ntuy. That led to a learship that appeared to operate whout normal profsnal boundari. As Hiponia puts , "They jt had a bunch of people who wrote thgs and kd of had the n of the place."</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">One lear om earlier this perd was scribed by one of our anonymo sourc as a "sexist nightmare" who yelled meetgs, and would throw papers across tabl. Multiple people told he would equently rewre thgs at the last mute, often on his way to voice rerdg ssns. Wrers wouldn’t learn about chang to their work until after voice l had already been rerd. One lead equently ma sexist remarks, but also plaed about "reverse sexism" and on at least one ocsn ma homophobic remarks to a queer lleague. He would openly mock his team members’ ias meetgs then play his mockery off like a joke, and would equently take cred for work others had done. Hiponia relled an ocsn when said lead attempted to hand off her edg duti to a relatively new employee durg a meetg wh top Bungie learship about the need for story ntuy, askg her, "What is you do, anyway?" When Hiponia nonted him about later and asked why her task was beg given away, he told her he was "jt jokg around."</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">A third narrative lead was lled a "llo, hierarchil, thorarian, cur, cel lear" by one anonymo source. Hiponia said he would equently ask her to do secretarial and admistrative tasks like takg not at meetgs or lookg up rmatn he uld have looked up himself — spe her posn as a wrer and edor on the team. Others relled that he equently sulted people who stood up for themselv, cludg publicly drsg down the narrative team after they acmodated a last-mute requt and asked that such a sh not happen aga. On another ocsn, he separated and rnered an employee who stood up to him to yell at them. One team member cnched while so sick they were unable to type, and had to have someone else type for them while they dictated.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Another source said that the team had been told not to cnch as part of a growg stud ph to elimate the practice — the ia was that the stud would simply cut featur if cnch was the only way to get them done. However, many of the wrers felt they had been backed to a rner after the paful release of Dty 2’s first DLC expansn, Curse of Osiris.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Curse of Osiris' story had been lambasted on Redd, wh a few female narrative team members beg sgled out by the muny for harassment, ath threats, and vrl. Our sourc say the women didn't receive support si the stud or om the muny team for what they were gog through, and multiple sourc were aware of one member of learship still at the stud who emailed Redd ments about the women to other pany lears a seemg bid to tear down the narrative team bee players didn't like the story. </p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">The same lear is also said to have been dismissive durg a meetg about the ntroversy, explag that no one should be worried bee they were jt gog to brg back the Dty 1 wrg team to solve everythg. Creative directn, overall, was ght due to the pull of different groups and powers at the stud. Some of Bungie's old guard were pecially prec about the visn of Dty 1, and reluctant to change anythg about the tone, characterizatns, or directn of the story as the game moved to Dty 2 and s subsequent expansns. This was pecially tratg for the team s where that visn had never been explicly fed the game or elsewhere, but only existed as ias the heads of people who no longer worked narrative.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Another issue was wh the velopment of cematics, which were nsired a prtige project. Largely wrten separately om the ma wrg team a "star chamber," the cematics team equently tried to operate penntly om the ma narrative team, rultg disnnects between tablished lore, planned qut narrativ, and major story beats. The cematic team’s cisns, Hiponia and others relled, would overri cisns ma by the narrative team, forcg last-mute rewr and more cnch. </p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">The clash of the different terts ed further troubl as unrreprented wrers and alli on the team enavored to make Dty's story more clive and thoughtful s portrayals. Those faiar wh the wrg team were aware of numero scenars where higher-up male narrative team members wanted to portray women ways that were gradg, tone af, or sually sexist. The non-lead wrers — both women and alli — would ph back, fightg to tell the kds of hopeful and empowerg stori wh Dty's women that were so often told through s male characters. </p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">While they did have a number of succs on this ont over the years, was often extremely challengg and paful for those brgg the issu forward to be heard, sometim requirg assistance om sympathetic dividuals wh clout outsi the team. A number of sourc told stori of male narrative leads at the stud who phed forward storyl for characters like Eris Morn, Mara Sov, Ana Bray, Ikora Rey, Suraya Hawthorne, and others that leaned on harmful stereotyp of women and mental health stggl, often spe objectns om women and supportive alli across the stud.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">"I uld go on for a long time about all the ways women have been ma to stand by as the men on the team have wrten characters bafflg, unregnizable ways," said a source faiar wh the matter.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Another example of a time when the diverse members of the wrg team were not listened to is the stance of Devrim Kay, a sut players meet the European Dead Zone lotn who provis missns and talks about his love of food and tea. At one pot Dty 2's velopment, a member of the wrg team add a ty piece of dialogue for Devrim referrg to missg his "partner." It was a sgle, small le among many other l tend to be said by both Devrim and many other characters, who would ment on siar circumstanc about their relatnships, thoughts, and feelgs. One source relled beg fur: Bungie's wrers had tried to gently make their story more clive wh Dty's first non gay relatnship, Bungie learship had tried to stop , but then got to enjoy posive attentn anyway.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">In all of the suatns, the members of the wrg team who fought for change would routely be told they were difficult to work wh, not supportive enough of their lears, or were aggrsive or abrasive and need to be better at takg cricism. The cricisms were often ed as feedback when the team phed for promotns after each new challengg release perd, wh several beg turned down time and aga.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Hiponia specifilly was told she uldn't get promoted bee she "wasn't good enough at the game," spe the fact that her re narrative rponsibili were unrelated to gameplay sign. But when she asked to be given time at work to play and improve, even offerg to tie those hours to a specific work task, her requt was nied.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">She also said that her own strs levels skyrocketed durg her time at Bungie, creasg her need for anti-anxiety meditn and therapy, and ultimately rultg strs-related gastrottal issu that required surgery. Hiponia was not alone — other sourc close to narrative saw their lleagu grow creasgly strsed and broken down as they experienced more health issu as time went on. </p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">In 2019, the suatn beme untenable. The entire wrg staff tried a last-dch effort to mediate their nstant nflict wh their leads wh HR, but were once aga told they need to try harr to work wh the people who were makg their liv miserable daily — spe the team reeratg that the leads did not appear to be makg efforts to build the same bridg on their end. Many wrote letters to CEO Pete Parsons, beggg for help. They never heard back.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">It wasn't until multiple wrers qu or threatened to qu all at once — cludg every woman on the narrative team — that Bungie fally dismissed the leads rponsible for the chaos and began to take the team’s ncerns more serly. Those nnected to the narrative team today say that thgs have improved, wh more fundg and employe to share the load, and new leads specifilly tasked wh helpg the partment rever. Some noted the hypocrisy at work here — of Bungie's seven stated pany valu, first on the list is this: Teams are Stronger Than Hero.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">"We hold ourselv and each other to the hight standard of mutual rpect, clivy, and support," reads the pany statement on that ia, "knowg that teams whose members speak their md and take risks will acplish what no dividual ever uld. Our ws are always team ws."</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Acrdg to those we spoke to, this translated to a b of a shorthand ternally, namely that Bungie "don't tolerate asshol." Learship, cludg Parsons his rponse to this article, says Bungie don't put up wh the kd of "rockstar" culture that, at other pani, has led to problematic, popular dividuals takg advantage of their posn to harm others, be that through harassment, toxicy, or other forms of abe.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">But many of our sourc say that this pany le has, up until very recently, simply not been te. Almost everyone we spoke to had stori of at least one, if not multiple dividuals wh long histori at Bungie that seemed to be able to get away wh anythg, protected by eher those above them the learship cha or long-servg HR employe.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">"When I read <a href=" target="_blank" class="jsx-955973305 unrled" rel="noopener noreferrer"><u>[Bungie's] rponse [to Activisn-Blizzard]</u></a> I lghed," one former employee said. "This was not my experience there [...] They have that re value that they don't tolerate asshol even if they're rockstars but they totally do. All that's aspiratnal. Those are the valu they want to get to, but they're not enforcg them."</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">The stori of Bungie's problematic rockstars go way back to s succs as the creator of Halo. He was also seen gettg credibly dnk at pany events, and would clip his toenails at his sk. Notably, this person rose to the pany's topmost levels before beg quietly let go after years of issu.. An ambiguo pany email announcg his parture referenced the pany's zero tolerance policy for bad actors and offered employe mental health support if need.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">A different dividual — who was mentned by a number of sourc — had also been at Bungie sce Halo 3, eventually risg to a director-level role throughout the Dty gam’ productn. Sourc scribed him as excsively abive to his team, wh some notg that his team seemed to work more late nights than others. One scribed him as "jt torturg" his staff, while another scribed multiple stanc of sexist and racist remarks. Another source close to his team scribed numero stanc of him timidatg employe one-on-one meetgs and vicly beratg his team when work didn't meet his standards.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">The stori shared here are far om the only exampl — we heard a number of other siar tal of behavr om not jt Bungie learship, but other employe across multiple partments who were often enabled by their superrs, who would ignore or dismiss bad behavr or plats agast those they favored. In the vast majory of the s, sourc felt their stori were too specific to share this piece whout personally intifyg themselv and riskg eher retaliatn at work or vlatg a non-disparagement agreement – which many former employe we spoke to say they felt prsured to sign upon partg the pany. </p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Their fears may not be unfound. In almost every story we heard, sourc say that numero reports were ma to HR and learship about the dividuals, but to no avail. HR’s seemg unwillgns to help those who plaed about toxic team lears was a recurrg theme our terviews. Some felt their reports were ignored entirely, while others told they’d been brought to meetgs to unexpectedly fd the person they’d reported stg the room to discs the issu.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">There was at least one long-standg Bungie employee HR, still wh the pany, who almost all of our sourc scribed as actively protectg harmful dividuals. Multiple people said that their job seemed to be to "make all go away" whenever someone had an issue wh the pany. Many of them noted that they stggled to tst HR anywhere as a general le. HR, they poted out, generally exists to protect the pany rather than s employe, but Bungie's HR was, for many, on a different level.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">"It's a well-known fact, if you talk to HR you're puttg your own job on the le," said one person. "HR has never been there to protect employe. They've always been there to protect the pany. For stance, cidg what kds of people would, over time, get to wield power and creative fluence at the pany alongsi them — and what kds of people would not.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Women pecially have stggled at Bungie over the years. Multiple women I spoke wh scribed an environment where many men cultivated a pervasive atmosphere which women were ferr. Multiple sourc said women were disproportnately talked over meetgs, had their abily to do their jobs qutned, had their ias ignored and then ed by men who later took cred for them, or simply had their qutns or put dismissed — issu that also seem to have impacted people of lor at the stud of all genrs, though women of lor were pecially impacted. One woman relled numero meetgs where she would give feedback or ask a qutn and seemed as though no one had even heard her: "I was pletely visible." </p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">"A lot of women [...] were put on what I would ll unappealg projects that were gog to end up havg major cnch issu, maybe even potentially qualy issu, thg[s] that were not even fund very well," said another source. "Thgs that were not gog to succeed a way that would allow them to she a review perd."</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">One woman poted to the and siar scenars as clear exampl of why Bungie has historilly had so few women learship. Too often, she said, boiled down to who the top level men at Bungie were iends wh, and then who those people were iends wh, and who was the "" group. And bee had been whe men om the start, that was how historilly tend to stay.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Another source relled upper management men at Bungie havg " nam" for the women at the stud they found attractive, which they would openly e at the stud whout the women knowg. This producer is said to have "skyrocketed" through the ranks at Bungie and was very charismatic and well-liked by Bungie's old guard — enough so that any reports to his managers about his behavrs seemed to fall on af ears. Though he was eventually fired, one former employee rells a number of his lleagu discsg his parture shortly after as "a good guy who got taken out by polil rrectns," suggtg the women who reported him jt need to get a sense of humor.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Another male employee was observed by a number of sourc repeatedly harassg his female direct reports wh sexual ments and unwanted hugs, while simultaneoly beltlg them and shuttg them down meetgs. The women eventually had to post signage at their sks remdg both him and others to stay out of their personal space. Another source relled a story of the same manager mentg to his female direct report that the only reason she had her job was bee she was a woman. This manager was eventually let go, but took a number of years of appropriate behavr for to happen.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Other unrreprented groups had different stggl. Several reunted stori of managers and leads makg racist remarks or even g slurs to refer to more diverse Dty characters or, at least one stance, an dividual at the stud. Several employe also wnsed discrimatn agast transgenr dividuals at the stud, cludg qutns about which bathrooms they were g, refal to e rrect pronouns, and other appropriate qutns. </p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">From 2016 to 2018, Hiponia beme part of an ternal diversy mtee that had been formed the year before. The mtee was an official Bungie group that, bee of pany rtrictns on allotted hours for meetgs and the lack of nsired support for this particular group’s needs to be succsful, met only durg lunch breaks rather than workg hours. About half of the origal mtee was ma up of diverse dividuals om var partments who were there to ph for change. But the other half was ma up of pany lears, all whe, who Hiponia and other sourc say put roadblocks at every turn. Ph to add a genr-ntral bathroom to the pany, to support the Black Liv Matter movement, and to plete a survey that would rate Bungie on s LGBTQ+ equaly and cln were all stymied or rejected. Hiponia and other diverse members began to qu the mtee 2018. While Bungie's pany health benefs were ld by many we spoke to, a number of people also mentned stgglg or knowg people who stggled wh physil or mental health problems for which Bungie was not jt unacmodatg, but sometim even hostile. Still two other dividuals scribed suatns where they took time off to al wh eher personal or faial health issu, only to return and seemgly be penalized by beg moved onto a ls sirable project.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Numero people we spoke to, all who were no longer wh the pany, scribed high levels of anxiety brought on by their work at Bungie, wh some attributg to cnch — which ntued to occur <a href=" target="_blank" class="jsx-955973305 unrled" rel="noopener noreferrer"><u>spe stud claims to the ntrary</u></a> across partments like QA, lolizatn, d, narrative, and others — and others referencg a toxic work environment or abive managers. Many said they beme prsed, eventually havg to crease existg therapy ssns or start therapy for the first time. Some were prcribed meditn, others began drkg more. "Well, you are, but 's a lot of subtle thgs you haven't picked up on. It's pay discrepancy. It's lookg at the data and seeg how many women leave, how many mori leave. They disunt each dividual story, sayg 'They weren't happy, they weren't a culture f.' It's harr to see, harr to quantify the thgs. There's not a silver bullet, not a smokg gun, but when you look at all piled together…... whe men at the top, promoted, paid well, mori more likely to leave. "Our actns or, some s, actns, ed the people pa. I apologize personally and on behalf of everyone at Bungie who I know feel a ep sense of empathy and sadns readg through the acunts."</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">He went on to tail a number of actns the pany has taken recent years to change s culture, many of which were also mentned to by current and recent employe of the stud. A number of the employe told they believe that, slow though may be, Bungie <em>is </em>tryg to move the right directn — largely thanks to the growg number of diverse dividuals and their alli wh the stud who have been tirelsly workg over the years to change s urse through dividual actn, pany groups, and growg employee prsure for a more diverse, healthy, clive workplace.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Sourc tell of a quiet but eply signifint change that began takg place the last few years — they began to notice a number of more powerful, problematic dividuals leavg the pany one by one. Many left quietly and profsnally, givg the appearance of a voluntary parture, and a few even left on publicly posive terms, celebrated wh fond farewell letters to the entire staff or Bungie's muny. Most of them still have high-rankg posns elsewhere the gam dtry. While some sourc claim that certa dividuals among them were quietly asked to leave, the exact circumstanc around this seemg hoe cleang are unclear. Their reers, mental health, and emotnal wellbeg were repeatedly damaged for years, they said. Meanwhile, the people who harmed them have moved to other pani and will ntue to largely be celebrated by their lleagu and the gamg public — and bee of their non-disparagement agreements, there's no way to safely ll them out, even an article like this.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">"You do need some kd of [jtice]," said one person. "That's what's absent. There's no bad actors are thrown out, there's no awarens... of who's a bad actor to avoid. [...] Whout that, I don't thk 's possible to build tst at a wi sle."</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Broadly, pany culture is always a work progrs, but Bungie has taken some specific actns the last few years the right directn. Several sourc note that, 2018, when Bungie brought on a Diversy & Incln (D&I) lead, there appeared to be a signifint ph by the stud to start havg measurable goals for the amount of diverse dividuals learship posns. Though some people wh the stud phed back, the goals were put place.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">And while there's still work to do, Bungie's prev blog post matas that there's been progrs at the topmost levels of the pany. Acrdg to Parsons, women or people om unrreprented muni prise half of Bungie's board of directors, and 40% of Bungie's executive team are women or people om unrreprented muni.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">More recent employe we spoke to have dited that this more diverse shift has been apparent not jt at the pany's learship levels, but throughout most partments as well. While Bungie did not share olr statistics for parison, did provi some recent numbers: 20.5% of Bungie employe are women, and women ma up 31% of Bungie’s new hir 2021 as well as 22.5% of people at the learship level. Bungie has also reformed the diversy mtee Hiponia and many others qu several years ago, which has been workg tanm wh the ERGs to make small but meangful adjtments to pany culture. And jt this year, Parsons told , ’s begun nductg reviews of s hirg, pensatn, and promotn activi, cludg hirg a third-party to d s pensatn practic.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Many of our sourc as well as Parsons also nfirmed that Bungie’s cnch issu had actively improved over the last several years, though sourc said some teams still stggled here and there. Team llaboratn was ced as another active velopment. A few years ago, there was a ph stud-wi to move to "Agile velopment," effectively a methodology where teams e to velopment solutns through llaboratn and teamwork. Opns on the ial move to this technique were mixed, but current employe we spoke to felt had ultimately ma a difference.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">"When you be [Bungie's irreverent past] wh a culture that's about beg the bt or buildg aspiratnal moonshots, I thk there was a tolerance for people beg mean to each other," one person said. "It was like ston sharpeng ston by throwg them at each other. […] In terms of work culture there's been a shift to beg nuanced and empathetic about people's personal growth. People are tryg, and they see the need for many perspectiv, but they don't always know how to do . Sometim they get their own way.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">"It's gettg better, and our rponsibily is to make thgs better for the future."</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">One ternal vehicle for this has been the pany's town hall meetgs, where dividuals n ask qutns of learship and then effectively vote on qutns others pose, wh the most popular qutns, theory, gettg answers. This system has been a eful venue for many to voice tratn, though to mixed succs over the years. In an earlier rnatn, this system didn't provi anonymy, and several sourc felt they uldn't be ndid, or relled beg dogpiled by their peers or even learship if they asked a qutn others disliked.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Wh the addn of anonymy, sourc said, more people felt fortable askg qutns about issu of diversy, burnout, and toxic stud behavr, and while some felt had been helpful voicg ncerns to management, others noted that learship often gave very lewarm rpons to ser issu. Several people relled a senr member of the pany rpondg to a qutn about a toxic work environment by sayg no one had ever e to him about toxicy and that the issue wasn't a ser one. Many employe we asked about the overall work culture problem believed that pany lears like Parsons wanted to try and make thgs better, but jt genuely didn't know how.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">One current Bungie employee said, "The stud is full of well-meang people, even at a learship level. They do re about social . The cricism we have at a stud-level is that they don't know how to ph the forward. They aren't stickg their feet the ground and sayg, 'No, we'll never try anythg.' It's kd of this well-meant nfn of, 'How do we do this?'"</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">A former employee remarked that was all too often the job of the mori at the stud to te everyone else — a job that evably meant dog extra unpaid labor at bt and which some sourc who did that work say was often dismissed or ignored. Another source put ncisely: "People are willg to learn, but wouldn't be so nice to be somewhere where everyone already knows?"</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">A few people I spoke to exprsed worry that this article would sre away more diverse dividuals who wanted to apply to Bungie, further exacerbatg the stud's problems. Though some of those who exprsed this fear were the victims of cints like the on scribed above, they had a firm belief the stud's nsistent movement the right directn.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">"Even though shouldn't be on their shoulrs, the tth is that the closer we n be to an accurate reflectn of our muny the better we'll be as a pany," one said. Bungie hasn't kept secret that multiple non-Dty gam are velopment, though the on our sourc were aware of have gone through some shifts and even ncellatns over recent years. One of the projects — currently greenl and the one clost to release — was tratg to some of our sourc, who felt was largely staffed through nepotistic practic of only hirg veterans and good iends, rercg a culture that had already proved harmful on Dty.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">But another project, not yet greenl, was spoken about glowgly by those the know. One scribed as "a huge divergence om what Bungie has done before." Others told me about s credibly diverse team of velopers, wh a signifint number of learship rol held by unrreprented mori. One person said was "the kd of team I want Bungie to have everywhere."</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Someone close to the project scribed the group as havg a posive, supportive culture, which everyone was proactive about beg sensive and thoughtful about the ntent they ma. They scribed as a new culture wh Bungie beg created tentnally as a mol for what the stud wants to be. Another explicly nnected the valu of the team workg on to Bungie's pany valu, sayg that while people will likely be surprised when they see the project, they will eventually unrstand how tly upholds the valu the pany has been tryg to stand for sce they were troduced 2014.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">"If there was to be a change, would have to be on the cubatn projects showg that thgs n be built differently," one source said.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">Sourc told that there were a number of other small teams wh Bungie, both wh cubatn and outsi of , that showed siar promise, wh diverse membership and multiple women learship rol. The teams, while smaller, were microsms of the kd of culture they believed would allow Bungie to thrive both ternally and publicly, as teams of fortable, safe, rpected dividuals worked together on bold new ias. Most thought s pay and benefs were good. They loved their teams and lleagu, and they loved Dty and the other projects the stud was workg on. Many still do. While a number of those who were eply hurt by the stud the past exprsed cynicism rponse to s recent tweets and blog posts about beg better, others issued a challenge to Bungie: Don't jt talk and make statements about the issu.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">"Listen to your employe that have been givg this feedback stead of jt sayg, 'Please give feedback,'" summarized one more employee who had joed the pany more recently. "Listen and act on and tell what actns you took. It seems like we're talkg to the void. While the ternal rponse was mixed, knowg that Bungie’s culture has echoed some siar them, there was simultaneoly a regnn that is also some of the way towards improvement. Still, for those who have worked at Bungie, there is a very clear le between sayg and dog — and they want to make sure the stud do the latter.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">"The tweet was so tratg," said one source, "bee posng yourself as 'we’re not the problem' rponse to systemic, dtry-wi misogyny perpetuat the problem. And the passive mentn of wrongdog [...] is disgenuo to the victims who were harmed on their watch. Stop nyg the harm done to your current and ex-employe. Own your failur; stop hidg them. We know. It is known. Show dtry-fg progrs the treatment of margalized employe that n’t possibly be mistaken for virtue signalg.</p><p class="jsx-3649800006 ">"I want Bungie to be what relentlsly, repeatedly required me to be.
