Many high schools and some middle schools have gay-straight allianc [9]. If the patient has gay relativ or supportive adult relativ and olr siblgs, he or she should be enuraged to seek support om them. Some parents already spect their child is gay and wele the chance to acknowledge the fact.
A 2006 paper published by the Natnal Gay and Lbian Task Force noted that a disproportnately high number of GLBT kids are homels, possibly bee they were kicked out or jt found life tolerable at home after g out [10].
