Durg Lbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgenr, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) Pri Month, we reflect on the progrs we have ma as a Natn the fight for jtice, cln, and equaly while reaffirmg our mment to do more to support LGBTQI+ rights at home and abroad. I am honored by the service of the first openly gay Cabet Secretary and the first transgenr person nfirmed by the Senate and to have been able to tablish the first Whe Hoe Genr Policy Council.

Lbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgenr and Queer (LGBTQ) Pri Month is currently celebrated each year the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprisg Manhattan. The Stonewall Uprisg was a tippg pot for the Gay Liberatn Movement the Uned Stat.
In the Uned Stat the last Sunday June was ially celebrated as "Gay Pri Day, " but the actual day was flexible. The purpose of the memorative month is to regnize the impact that lbian, gay, bisexual and transgenr dividuals have had on history lolly, natnally, and ternatnally.
