In 1986 Donal Sheehan, Cork Gay Collective and Quay Co-op member, published an article on Discrimatn Agast Sexual Orientatn the Distributive Worker Newsletter (Official Organ of the Irish Distributive and Admistrative Tra Unn).

In 1987 ICTU published a very strong policy entled “Lbian and Gay Rights the Workplace: Guil for Negotiators. ” This document outl the issu faced by lbian and gay workers and the actns that unns n and should take to unteract discrimatn agast lbian and gay workers.
