"Gayndah Court Hoe is a typil example of the work of the Public Works Department and is a ntuatn of the tradn of timber urt ho Queensland untry towns, adaptg to civic functn vernacular elements and materials mon to domtic buildgs. The buildg which was named the Gayndah and District Soldiers Memorial Hall and Council Chambers was officially opened on the 19th July 1935 by the Hon E Hanlon memoratn of the employment relief loan the Gayndah Town Council had received om the State Government orr to nstct the buildg. Loted Simon Street off Capper Street, the Gayndah Mm is an excellent ral mm wh exhibs cludg an 18th century grandfather clock, a Leyland tck which dat back to 1913, and the Ban Ban buggy which dat to 1896.
Archer's Lookout (accsed by drivg up Peapple Street and followg the signs) is loted on the top of the De and Duchs Mounta where a panoramic view over the town and the surroundg untrysi offers an tertg perspective on Gayndah although the lie of the land means that the Burt River, so important to the town, n only be glimpsed. Loted 10 km north of Gayndah (take the Burt Highway north, turn to Iraway Road and follow the signs) is this most unual, upsi down railway bridge which was built 1902.
