When I googled to fact check that, the only story which me up was the one about Gay pullg out om Simon & Schter and when I searched her Twter timele, appears she had tweeted and then leted somethg about a book ban, which had had several answers disagreeg wh whatever she had said. Ined Gay failed to expand on which book of hers had been banned and ed bemoaned puranism and that people were beg more anti-sex.

Although Gay wasn’t bothered that her (unspecified) book had been banned, she was ncerned that Toni Morrison was banned and also To Kill a Mockg Bird. Gay was worried when this generatn eventually tak over they would have no knowledge that slavery had even happened and wouldn’t be able to unrstand systemic racism whout that knowledge.
