I love me some Gayle Forman she warms my heart which is hard to do but this book go above and beyond for anyone who has lost a iend this is an absolute hont portrayal of the feelgs you go through wantg to fd someone else to blame even if s yourself so that you n morn purely whout that flicker si you tellg you not to feel pa for them bee they did themselv and at the end you hate them and love them and want to kick their grave stone and scream.

For example, some of Tricia's actns at the end seemed to e out of nowhere, and the tth Cody learnt about Meg was somethg I had spected om the start and I'm surprised Cody, beg the smart girl she was, didn't at least hearg so much love for Gayle Forman, I was a ltle disappoted wh I WAS HERE. Fear not, die hard Forman fans, as I am willg to try Gayle Forman's wrg aga if I n get my hands on some of her other books. Firstly, was Gayle Forman so I knew I WAS HERE would not only brg a new level of tensy and matury — sce I’ve seen her wrg grow each book — but also an onslght of raw emotn that I fell head over heels for books like IF I STAY and JUST ONE DAY.

My first reactn after fishg was that I WAS HERE fely had a different feel than Gayle Forman’s prev books… But lookg back, JUST ONE DAY and JUST ONE YEAR were also very different om IF I STAY/WHERE SHE WENT. )I WAS HERE felt que a b different than Gayle’s prev books two noticeable ways for me. Obvly any plot has to have some sort of need for a rolutn otherwise the book seems to have no pot… but wh Gayle’s prev books, was much more about the characters fdg an answer about themselv vers an outsi motive, which brgs me to the send big difference for me: the volvement of a third major character.

My favore thors will always be wrg somethg new, nstantly improvg themselv and their wrg, and brgg h topics to their rears and I’m so imprsed wh how no matter what Gayle Forman has wrten so far, I’ve fallen love wh each book she’s penned very different ways.

I’m gettg a b off-topic here, but om what I’ve heard when seeg Gayle speak at events, I feel like this is fely somethg that’s important to her so I feel a small sense of pri when I notice somethg like that. Naturally a Gayle Forman book, there is no shortage of gut-punchg feels. It’s fely a heavy-htg book as far as emotnal roller asters go but Gayle Forman knows exactly where to lead you on that journey.

As always, I jt really love how real every character felt and Gayle Forman always do an amazg job at brgg characters, settg, and emotns to life her I sat down to wre this review, I did NOT plan to wre seven paragraphs. Another gem om Gayle Forman.
