Gaytan pursued the r and eventually crashed to a fence near Entrada Aragon Road, about a e south of Menard Road near the Tomé Post Office. Acrdg to the prs release, Ruben and Alonzo began to yell at Gaytan as they walked toward him a threateng and aggrsive manner.

Gaytan gave verbal mands to the men, which they both ignored.

Gaytan drew his partment-issued Taser while ntug to give mands to Ruben and Alonzo.

Both men ntued to walk towards Gaytan, and the officer ployed his Taser, strikg Ruben, which had no effect on him.

Alonzo began to walk away om the scene as Gaytan attempted to take Ruben to ctody but then turned around and began g towards Gaytan, who was still tryg to place Ruben to ctody. Gaytan drew his gun and saw Alonzo pull an object out of his pants pocket. Alonzo ntued to walk towards Gaytan and the officer retreated to the rear of his patrol r for safety.
