I love the batn of elements om genr that were really popular the early 2000s. It mak a lot of the songs sound nostalgic, which I thk has an appeal to people my generatn. But mostly, the songs are jt so fun and full of energy. Their philosophy of makg a song is nothg ep, jt to simply make bang, and I admire that so much.”</p><p>Daniel disvered 100 gecs at the begng of lockdown 2020. “At the time, there was so much anxiety,” he reflects. “So, for me, listeng to mic that overwhelmed my md really helped. Their but album fely blocked out many negative feelgs that were so proment durg those months.”</p><p>Josh also started listeng to 100 gecs lockdown, scribg the disvery as a “relig experience”. He stumbled upon <a href=">the duo’s performance</a> of “800db cloud” on Adult Swim’s show FishCenter Live. “I’m not sure if was the visuals, the giant bucket-list-tier guar amp, or the tone of the It’s the Saturday morng followg the gecs' whirlwd night of openg for Brockhampton at Madison Square Garn and, immediately after, playg a sold out DJ set Lower Manhattan.
