Tl;dr gay man stgglg relatg to straight people alanon, lookg for siar experienc. As a gay man who grew up a really relig environment (any exmormons out there?? ), I fd myself straddlg the world of sobriety/emotnal sobriety and the gay muny, and ’s very unfortable.
The ndns which my ex and I met and broke up are very plited, and my past is filled wh plited matters ncerng sex, relatnships, emotnal issu, and health issu wh other gay men. And om my experience, most of the gay muny is hookg up and drkg, and I don’t want to have to give up all my relatnships jt to be surround by people I n only partially relate to. I tell him about my experienc and sists that the prcipl are always the same and therefore beg straight/gay don’t matter.
While I agree that the prcipl work for everyone, I have no ia how to approach step 4 or approach some unhealthy relatnships I have wh other gay men.
