On the day before the 2015 Divisn I lacrosse champnship game between Denver and Maryland at Lln Fancial Field Philalphia, a few away on the mp of Pennsylvania Universy, several hundred people, gay lacrosse players and their alli, gathered for The Courage Game. This meant that we uldn’t be a bunch of “faggots over there on the baseball team” or “gay-ass soccer players” as my teammat would put . There was no room for a gay guy on the lacrosse field.
Although public homophobic remarks by my teammat were rare, was no secret to anyone on the team that this “liftyle” did not belong. Noah Knopf was received warmly after g out to his Harvard teammat, but says the sport has to al wh an graed homophobia.
