The Internatnal Dubl Gay Theatre Ftival is a celebratn of love, diversy, and creativy that brgs together some of the bt LGBTQ+ theatre talents om around the world. Sce begng 1995 as “A Salute to Pri” and nng om 1996-2019 as the North Carola Gay + Lbian Film Ftival, this event has always featured a diverse array of shorts, documentari and feature films.
No, this wasn’t your typil mic ftival, nor was a Gay Pri ftival — was Milkshake Ftival Amsterdam. Milkshake Ftival tak place the week before Amsterdam’s annual Gay Pri and is labeled as a ftival “for all who love” (rais hand).
Gay Pri ftivals the Wt were once opportuni to be visible and publicly mand equal rights. As more and more of those rights have materialized (pecially the past few years), the polil aspect of many Gay Pris has dimished.
