Their love of punk rock and parti and their sire to create a bar where gay and straight people uld party together spired them to buy a funct piano bar and transform to what is now known as Akbar.
Much has changed the 20 years sce the pair opened Akbar: they're no longer a uple, the neighborhood has gentrified, and our natn's attu towards gays has changed immensely for the better.
