YELLOWJACKETS SEASON 2 IS SHAPG UP TO BE GAY, GORY, AND GLOR
I want to see more than one trans or gay person a show or a iend group. Havg two gay characters a show, havg three gay characters a show, that's realistic, bee we exist.
It’s a reflectn of the real world, where trans people – particularly trans women of lour like Yvette – face disproportnate levels of harassment and vlence, while gay-panic and trans-panic fenc are still regnised urts around the world.
His whole narrative was this ia of gay panic, he felt he had to prove somethg wh his own masculy and salvage his own ego bee he n’t stand that he was been attracted to a trans woman. When to the more nerdy si of pop culture like ics and superhero – which I’m fully immersed myself – a lot of the fans have a bad reputatn for homophobia, transphobia and misogyny. It was referenced this recent episo, that gay-panic is still a valid exce urt for murrg a person.

I thk TV shows have a more niche, dited fanbase so they’re more embolned to have LGBTQ characters be major players, whereas the movi are much more ncerned about appealg to everybody, and appealg to the wir dience, so they don’t want to alienate potential viewers, they want to keep ‘safe’, and so when they do show LGBTQ people ’s jt a ltle kiss after they blew up a pla and everyone’s celebratg and there jt happens to be a gay uple the background – that’s great, and we need that, but we also need LGBTQ people to be actual players and be ntributg and be part of the big nversatns. We need gay superhero and trans superhero up there wh those A-listers.
Yellowjackets Season 2 is shapg up to be gayer and gorier than ever week, Showtime announced that three new actors have joed the h seri recurrg rol: Nile Ma, Nia Sondaya, and François is bt known for playg trans superhero Dreamer on the CW’s Supergirl, a role which earned her a GLAAD Media Award nomatn.
