Erimar Ortigas, Mr Gay World-Philipp, is there to pete wh 29 others for the tle. Now on s 5th year, the Mr Gay World pageant seeks to turn s nttants and wners to spokpersons for gay and human rights. He told, “I would like to show to the world that this is the other si of beg gay, that we are profsnal, that we uld be a good role mol.

Acrdg to, Ortigas attend the symbolic weddg of 12 gay upl, officiated by Rev. His Natnal Costume for the pageant was nceptualized by his mentor and first Mr Gay World Philipp Wilbert Tolento. Mr Gay World (tablished 2008) is a non-prof, pennt and non-polil petn and anisatn.

THREATS, LI AND A GAY BETY PAGEANT

Each year The Mr Gay World petn (MGW) will look for a statn that wants to host wh the tensn to vis all regns of the world. The MGW anisatn stris to work and nnect wh official Mr Gay petns and producers each untry. Delegat: Only legat elected natnal petns named “Mr Gay ” and which hold the rights to legally e the name “Mr Gay ” the rpective untri will be tled “Mr Gay ”.

Producers: If a untry do not have an official Mr Gay petn and/or producer, any anisatn or person n e to an agreement wh the MGW anisatn to arrange a natnal fal wh the aim to fd a natnal reprentative to the MGW, subject to MGW Regnal Directors approval. MGW will prrize diversy race, age, fah, regn, abily, language, appearance and if a untry has a well-functng Mr Gay petn/productn selectg the falists. If a untry has s own registered or tablished Mr Gay ntt and should a untry or a lol Mr Gay cle an vatn to enter the MGW petn, the vatn n be extend to other possible natnal partners wishg to enter a legate who will reprent that untry the petn, subject to the MGW Regnal Director’s approval.

In exceptnal circumstanc, if a untry do not have an official Mr Gay petn and an anisatn and no other natnal partners or anisers want to appot, select or nomate a legate, any gay man wh a fay addrs and passport om a given untry n register as a legate through our Wild Card Program (WCP). All of the legat will take part fully the Mr Gay World event and followg the fal, will act as “ambassadors” for MGW their regn for the year.

One legate will be crowned Mr Gay World. Eric Butter and Dean Nelson embarked on a missn to create a global petn that would spire and empower gay men to e together a public performance that would show the world that beg gay enpass a broad spectm. It was our hope that by brgg the men together they would share their experienc to open both each others’ as well as the public’s ey that many regns on our pla beg gay is a challenge and a fight for basic human rights.

Both Eric Butter and the then Vice Chair of Mr Gay Europe, Tore Aasheim, were ved to Vanuver to discs how we uld brg this global visn to the Internatnal Producers and ensure that the Mr Gay World board had a uned and global view. Mr Gay Europe iated the Dubl Summ brgg Eric Butter (Atralia), Dean Nelson (Canada), Tore Aasheim (Norway), Brian Merriman (Ireland) and Noemi Alberto (Philipp) together to discs the stcture, visn and missn of Mr Gay World and to form the first ternatnal board of directors Dubl, Ireland. The first Mr Gay World Competn took place durg the annual Wter PRIDE celebratns the award wng mounta rort of Whistler, Canada welg 24 legat.
